Automatic checks
MaxTo checks for updates in the background while it’s running. When a new version is out, it lets you know and offers to install it. Choose to install, and MaxTo restarts on the new version.
To turn the automatic checks off (or back on), open Settings → General and use Check for updates automatically. It’s on by default.
Check right now
Click the MaxTo icon in the menu bar and choose Check for Updates…. If you’re already on the latest version, MaxTo says so.
Check your version
Choose About MaxTo in the menu bar. The version appears under the MaxTo name, along with the open-source software MaxTo includes.
Your settings survive updates
Updating replaces the app, not your configuration. Grids, presets, shortcuts, remembered positions and your license all carry over.
